Gw2 Api health check?

So I was thinking after the last api outage – wouldn’t it be nice if we had a healthcheck endpoint for the api?

Does one already exist? What do you use to determine the health of your api?

The API was offline because everything was rolled back to an earlier snapshot (all gameservers, api, forum, … were not available at that time) (more details). It was the first time that the API was down.
