I would love to see The Mantle API by AMD implemented into Guild Wars 2. I recently tested the Star Swarm Stress Test and noticed that 8000 ships on screen at once didn’t drop me below 30FPS. It would be PERFECT for those who struggle running World vs World or Living World Content and it’s soon to be Open Source so no licencing fees to Mr. AMD. It would also help with the users of low-end or 8-Core CPU’s as it reduces the effects of bottlenecking (which anyone with an AMD 8-Core can tell you exists within the game). Hope you consider the idea!

WHERE DO I POST MY BRILLIANT IDEAS Q_Q
Also I assumed the API development sub-forum would… be adressing API’s?… wat?

smiley.1438:

No, the API subforum is dedicated to the GW2-API only, suggestions regarding the game itself should be made in the respective subforums (see this post). So in your case possibly the main GW2 discussion forum, along with a more meaningful topic name like “AMD Mantle support?”

As others have said (and this is at least the second wrong post) this is the wrong section. Other people have already made similar posts to the correct section as well.

Looking at the video in http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/14/oxide-star-swarm-real-time-strategy-mantle-demo/ it doesn’t look like the same situation as in WvW. Sure it may contain larger numbers but in WvW the typical situation is hundred(s) of people packed into a tight spot while that demo has everything spaced farther apart.
