SWTOR got very few things right, but they did a neat thing with a fan-created showcase every few weeks. It strikes me that with so many cool things bleeding out of the (admittedly nerdy :P) side of the community Anet may want to highlight great tools to the rest of the community.

While they haven’t really posted many tools yet, ANet frequently posts community works and tournaments on their Facebook page.

Thing is, they have to be careful with promoting stuff they don’t control the source code of. Someone could very easily create an application that uses the API and which would be malicious – virus, malware, keylogger.
